Lois Faye Will Baker, devoted wife and mother, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the age of 86. She was born on April 13, 1939 in Harrisonburg, and spent her life devoted to caring for others, especially children and family.
For more than 30 years, Lois lovingly babysat well over 100 children, becoming a steady, trusted presence in the lives of countless families. Her care spanned generations, as she later watched the children of those she once babysat—something she took great pride in. Many remember her not just as a caregiver, but as a second home filled with warmth, patience, and love.
Lois was also well known for her good cooking, which many of those now grown children fondly remember. A favorite dish or her sweet tea is always brought up in conversations when talking about their time spent at Mrs. Baker’s!
She is survived by her daughter Tina Morris (Joe) and five siblings- Jimmy Will (Ruth), Charlie Will (Mary), Ronnie Will (Esther), Judy Whisman, and Audrey Rexrode (Clay), and was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Ola Will, four brothers Forest, Arnold, Maynard, and Dwight Will, and her husband of forty-four years Warren Baker.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church in Weyers Cave on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
Lois will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched and the children she helped raise.
