Reginald Hastings Manzer Jr.

Manzer, Reginald Hastings Jr. 68, Weymouth, Digby Co. passed away March 11, 2012 at home. Born January 20, 1944 in Ashmore, Digby co. he was a son of the late Reginald Hastings and Sylvia Belle (Lombard) Manzer. He was an avid guitar player , song writer and singer. He was employed with Saint John Shipbuilding most of his adult life. After retiring, he moved back to his hometown of Weymouth. Surviving are his daughter Pamela Louise Manzer , Rollingdam, NB ; son Reginald James Manzer, Bains Corner, NB; sister Elsie Louise Manzer (Thibodeau) ; brothers Melvin George Manzer, Arnold Roger Manzer, Gerald Wayne Manzer, Grandchildren Steven Raithby, Amanda Raithby, Reggie Manzer, Alex Manzer, Ben Manzer, Alexandria Manzer, Simon Kurkimaki, Wilson Manzer, Alaynna Manzer and great grandchild Keenan Orion Chrighton, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Eleanor Jean Manzer and Myrna Mae Manzer. Visitation will be 7-9 pm Wednesday from Jayne’s Funeral Home , Weymouth North. Funeral service will be 11 Am Thursday from the Bethel Baptist Church, Ashmore. Rev. Fred Bigelow will officiate with interment in Riverside Baptist Cemetery, Weymouth North.
