

Alton Joseph “Nick” Richard, 91, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence. He was a native and long-time resident of White Castle and a resident of Baton Rouge since 2005. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie Brou Richard; three daughters and sons-in-law; Rhonda Elder (Greg) of Slidell, Dawn Ballmer (Dallas) of Baton Rouge, and Robyn Cedotal (Keith) of Lake Jackson, TX, and one son, Mark Richard of Houston, TX, 7 grandchildren; Ashley Altazin Holman (Tom), Chad Cedotal (Gina), and Koty Cedotal, Eric Ballmer (Sarah), Miguel Ballmer (Heather), Jeff Elder (Amelia), and Colleen E. Vincent (Derrick), 10 great-grandchildren; Greyson Cedotal, Elena Revelez, Seven and Lanea Rico, Marlee and Otis Ballmer, Patrick and Katherine Elder and Ava and Parker Vincent. He is also survived by 1 sister; Ethel Cedotal Ryan (Don) of Petal, MS, and 1 brother, Adam Richard (Dolores) of St. Martinville, LA and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jane Babin Brou, Dale and Phyllis Brown Brou, Joan Brou Agosta, Lynn A. Brou, Marcy McLaughlin Brou and Vincent and Margaret Brou Pizzolato and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clebert and Clelie Daigle Richard, 2 sisters; Eva Richard and Shirley Richard Sagona (Sammy). Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr.
