Betty Adams Richard, age 85, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Brandon, FL. She was a native and resident of White Castle. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law Rebecca Richard Ourso and husband Brian Ourso and Rachelle E. Richard; stepson Rodney Richard; Stepdaughter Carolyn Richard; two sisters Connie Adams Cardinal and Norma Adams Doiron; two grandchildren Dylan Richard Ourso and Dustin Allen Ourso and wife Jamie; great-grandchild Isabelle Alexis Ourso. Preceded in death by husband Walter P. Richard; parents Lawrence G. Adams and Agnes Hebert Adams, brother L.G. "Sonny" Adams, five sisters Audrey A. Dupre, Fay A. Strayhorn, Lorraine A. Suarez, Sybil A. Comeaux, and Willa A. LaRue. Pallbearers will be Dylan R. Ourso, Dustin A. Ourso, Brandon P. Messina, Larry G. Adams, Zane Doiron, Eric Hebert, David Maxwell, and Cleben Trahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Robichaux, Matthew Hebert, Brent Allain, Robert Forte, Vince Forte, David Kessler, and Warren Dupre. Special thanks from the family to her loving caregivers Bri, Alyssa, Gwen, Natalie, and Lonette. Thank you also to the staff and caregivers of Azalea Estates in Gonzales, Louisiana, for their loving care. She enjoyed hunting, sewing and spending time with her daughters. Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle from 5pm until to 10pm and Saturday August 10, 2013 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
