

Daniel J. Marnell 79, of Whiting, passed Monday at Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Dan was born in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island, NY., and in Milltown, NJ., before moving to Crestwood Village, Whiting. Dan was a U.S Marine Corp veteran having served during the Korean War. He worked on Wall Street for almost 50 years in the brokerage industry. He was an avid walker and football fan. Dan enjoyed painting and writing during his retirement. He loved music and was very health conscious.
Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years, Vivian, his three children and their spouses, David and Kathy Marnell of Secaucus, Dean and Maria Marnell of Milltown, and Dana and Jim McGeney of Manalapan. Also surviving are his brother Richard Marnell of Toms River and his four grandchildren Joseph, Alec, Danielle, and Isabel.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ. The funeral service will be at 8:30pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to: Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical center, Toms River, NJ.
