Doris E. DePasquale, 82, Whiting, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Laurelton Village Health Care Center, Brick. She was a Homemaker who was very active in Volunteer Service throughout her life. She was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Community Memorial Hospital, was a former Secretary of the Hospital’s Board of Trustees, and was the Co-Chairwoman of the Cypress Twigs, also of Community Memorial Hospital. Recently she knitted “Angel Blankets” for children in local hospitals.
Born in Elizabeth, she resided in Toms River many years, moving to Whiting over 20 years ago. She is predeceased by her husband David DePasquale in 2003 and a son David DePasquale in 2013. Doris is survived by her two grandchildren, Gina Meltzer & her husband Ryan, and Adam DePasquale & his fiance’ Kelly Brennan. Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Alyson & Loryn Meltzer. Doris also leaves her sister Alice DePasquale.
