Frank Weissbart of Whiting, NJ passed away on Friday June 24, 2016. Born on December 2, 1929. He emigrated from Germany in 1949 to the US, and enlisted in the Air Force. He served in Korea as a Flight Engineer in the 315th Air Division, 63rd Troop Carrier Squadron out of Ashiya Air Force Base, receiving several medals for honor and service.
He married Judith Pentz in 1955, also an immigrant from Europe. Together they had 5 children. He enjoyed camping and trips with his family, fishing, and was an avid soccer fan. He and his wife retired to Whiting, NJ in 1998 where they enjoyed socializing with new friends, working out daily, and staying fit. They were married for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, and 2 sons and their wives: Gloria, Erich and his wife JoAnn, Nora, Sylvia, and Frank and his wife, Diane; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 25 and a private inurnment and memorial service will be scheduled at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
