George Kramer, 96, of Whiting, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Crestwood Manor. Raised in Queens, NY, Mr. Kramer served in the 32nd Infantry Division in the Pacific during WW II. He and his wife, Anne, raised their family in West Babylon, Long Island where they lived for over 30 years. In 1983, soon after they retired, they moved to Whiting. George was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Whiting.
Mr. Kramer is predeceased by his wife of over 67 years, Anne. He is survived by his daughter Susan (Tom) Megaro, his son Roger (Charlene) Kramer; his two grandchildren, Carleen and Jeffrey (Jill) Megaro, and his two great grandchildren, Isabelle and Cole Megaro. He is also survived by his good friend and companion of the last three years, Rosemary Eulie.
Visitation is 2 to 4 PM Sunday June 26 at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 40 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting at 11 AM, Monday, June 27. Internment will follow at the Brig. General Wm. C.
