Gloria Amy Brock, 90, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at home . She was a “Rosie The Riveter” at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during WW II. After the war she worked for the Checkered Cab Company for a few years as a part distributor. Gloria worked as an Administrative Assistant for Macy’s, Herald Square for 25 years retiring in 1988. Born in New York City she resided there all her life moving here in 1981. She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, the late Walter in 2010 and her son-in-law, the late Philip Contract in 2001. Surviving is her daughter Linda Brock-Contract, and her loving “dachsgle”, a daschund-beagle - Sammy. Committal was private and under the direction of Anderson & Campbell funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting.
