Gregory L. Gatto

Gregory L. Gatto, 66, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., Passed away at home on Friday June 09, 2017. He was a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years, retiring in 2009. For the last couple of years Greg worked at Shop Rite in Manchester. He was always there for whatever anyone ever needed, to lend a hand or to listen. He was the best Husband, Dad and Friend to so many. He was known as “My Gregory” to those close to him.To say simply - he loved his family - would be an understatement. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in River Edge, NJ, but in Washingtonville, NY for most of his life, before moving to Whiting in 2010.

He is survived by his loving Wife of 38 years, Carol nee Pappa Gatto, a son Robert, a sister Natalie Joy, a "Brother" Lou Comarato, a "Sister" Valerie Pappa, and a Sister in Law Patricia Mason. He was a dear Uncle to Christopher, Diana, Kristine, Lisa and Joey. Greg was also “Poppa Greg” to Juliana and Nicholas. Anyone who knew Greg loved his sense of warmth and caring.

Friends may call on Monday, June 12 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759.A Celebration of Greg’s Life will take place at 8:15pm from the funeral home.
