Jeanine Margaret Lavin

Born on November 23, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jeanine’s nurturing spirit extended to both her only child and her furry, feline companions.

Jeanine’s home was always filled with the pitter-patter of paws and the joy of her only son, Gregory. She took in countless kitty cats from the outside, while also ensuring other kitties who wished to stay outdoors were always fed. Her family and friends fondly remember her as one of the most wonderful cat ladies they ever knew. Most recently, Jeanine became a grandmother, falling in love with her first grandson, Theodore.

Jeanine is predeceased by her Mother, Dorothy Chapman Lavin, her father, Gregory Sumner Lavin, and her brother, Gerald Sumner Lavin. Jeanine is survived by her son, Gregory Theodore Lavin (Maria), her adored grandson, Theodore Stuart Lavin, as well as her kitties, Daisy and Grayson, who are now in the loving care of her son. She also leaves behind her sister, Helen Roberts (David), and her nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering will take place on November 23, 2025, Jeanine’s birthday, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ, to remember her and celebrate her life with friends and family.
