Lydia H. Muniz, 91, passed away Tuesday at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. Lydia was born in Brooklyn and lived in Jersey City before moving to Crestwood Village, Whiting in 1989. Ludia was a piano teacher and organist for many years. She was a 1949 graduate of Taylor University and graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in 1943. Lydia was a long time member of the Ocean County Evangelical Church in Lakehurst.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years Luis A. Muniz and her four sons, L. Daniel, David J., Nathan E., and Peter L., also surviving are two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 AM at the funeral home with the burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens, NY.
