Ms. Mildred Mae Rieder

2025. She was born in Philadelphia to Karl and Mid Gensheimer on August 2, 1930. She was

formerly of Roxborough and Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania and Manahawkin and Long Beach

Township , New Jersey. Millie graduated Cum Laude from Moore Institute of Art with a degree in

fashion design. She proudly became a teacher at Moore.

Shortly after graduation from Moore, Millie married her high school sweetheart, Frank Rieder.

They raised their family, Judy, Steve and Sandy in Lafayette Hill, this would be Millie’s proudest

accomplishment. She was a loving and caring mom till the day she died. Her love and devotion

to her husband and family will always be an example to many people.

Millie is survived by her best friend and husband of 72 years, Frank Rieder. She is also survived

by her children, Judy Savchak, Steve Rieder and his wife, Maryann, Sandy Carnevale and her

husband, Frank, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Things that made Millie smile were her family, a beautiful day and ice cream! She was always

ready with a smile of her own for everyone. Whether you knew Millie from Leverington

Presbyterian, Ocean Community Church or Crestwood Manor you were familiar with that smile.

Going out for ice cream with Frank or making root beer floats was a favorite pastime. Playing

golf, although frustrating at times, was one of their most cherished activities. Walking to the

beach hand in hand, eating at a favorite restaurant, visiting Valley Green or just relaxing at

home, as long as they were together they were happy!

Millie was strong and brave, proved when she beat cancer at the age of 91. She was up for

anything; bodysurfing in her 70’s, dancing in her 80’s and playing with her great grandchildren

at any time. Her devotion to her faith and being a true Christian will be a memory that will stay

with her family forever.

Her joy of life was contagious. She will be missed by many, especially her adored husband,

Frank.

On Monday, January 27th, a memorial service for Mille will be held at 2:00 at the

Crestwood Manor
