Philip Cardelfe, 92, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on March 2, 2026. Born on December 31, 1933, Philip lived a long and full life devoted to his family, his work, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Philip was the beloved husband of Mary Wirth Cardelfe and a devoted brother and father of Five well as a stepfather. He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many, holding each of his family members close to his heart. He especially cherished his role as “Pop” to Gianna (“Shrimp”), Madison, Rjay, Julian, Sofia, Daymien, and Dominick. His love for his family was constant, unconditional, and deeply felt.
A self-employed truck driver for many years, Philip took immense pride in his work. His dedication and commitment to safety earned him an incredible milestone award for four million road miles — a testament to his strong work ethic and perseverance.
Philip had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving, generous heart. He loved to eat, enjoyed motorcycles, and most of all treasured the time he spent with his wife Mary. Whether sharing a meal, a laugh, or simply sitting together, those moments meant everything to him.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his big heart, and the way he made those around him feel loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on through the family he adored.
