A licensed cosmetologist, Beckie earned an associate’s degree in business management from Bergen Community College and worked with a variety of companies most recently H & R Block as a tax specialist. She was also a talented and much loved teacher of English as a second language and was devoted to her students from all over the globe.
If the weather was fair, Beckie could be found sitting on her back deck enjoying a good book and working in her garden, a source of great pride, while watching over her much loved fur babies, Minnie, Pumba and Ariel. She was a multi-talented craftswoman who loved decorating the home she shared with her partner Sandip Bhattacharjee with her special creations, as well as sharing these with her many friends and family. Beckie especially loved the holidays when she could really indulge all her many creative ideas. She was also a devoted runner who enjoyed volunteering for many sponsoring organizations while garnering an impressive collection of medals over the years.
Beckie was proud to be a dual American Swiss citizen and loved traveling throughout Europe and the Caribbean. She especially loved when she and her mom would set out on one of their many adventures together, even commemorating their last cruise with a special tattoo “two girls on the road”.
Beckie was also proud to be a true Jersey girl, strong willed, outspoken and loyal with a joy for life. Whatever she did, her enthusiasm was infectious. With her warm and outgoing personality, she made friends wherever she went.
Her legacy can be found in the many lives she touched. She will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by all who loved her
