Robert Anthony Tranchita

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert A.Tranchita who left this world on March 21, 2025 at the age of 77, Robert was born in Elizabeth 1948 and moved to South Tom’s River at the age of 12, he graduated from Tom’s River High School then joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam for 18 months, after discharged he married Ceola Giberson in 1967. They bought their home in Whiting where Robert continued to reside until his passing. Robert worked at the gas company which led him to the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 37 years of service. Robert was a hard-working individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own, especially his family and was always ready to lend a helping hand, he also loved his pets like they were his own children. He would always say they are not spoiled. They are just loved. Robert is survived by his three daughters, Cynthia ( Brian ) Klister, Lisa ( Jim ) Hluchy, Amanda Tranchita, and a special friend Nancy Strawser. Two Brothers, James ( Donna ) Tranchita, Russell Tranchita, one Sister, Michele Barzydlo, Four grandchildren, April ( Matt ) Rasa, Michael Hluchy, Joshua Klister and Jordan Klister. His wife’s loving sisters, brother and countless nieces and nephews.

Robert was proceeded in death by his father Ignazio Tranchita, mother Mary, loving wife, Ceola Tranchita, his beloved son, Robert Tranchita, Jr. and many other cherished family members.

A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A visitation will occur Friday, March 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral services will occur Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A committal service to include Military Honors will occur Friday, March 28, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
