Alice Ann Wirmel, 83, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in a local hospital. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park with Reverend Merwin Turner officiating and under the direction of Hampton Vaughan. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wirmel was born on October 7, 1927 in Iowa Park to the late Eli Copeland and Vida (Batchelor) Copeland. She married George W. Wirmel, Jr. on December 5, 1953 in Iowa Park and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1990. Alice was a member of Floral Heights United Methodist Church where she had been active for many years in the Anniversary Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife and mother and was a proud homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Terry Wirmel and wife, Beckie of Iowa Park; daughter-in-law, Veronica Wirmel, Saginaw, Tx.; granddaughters, Stephanie Medenwaldt and husband, Dan of Wichita Falls and Stacie Wirmel, Iowa Park. Also preceding her was a son, Kevin Wirmel on April 7, 2011.
