Anna was born on May 30, 1930, in Augsburg, Germany, to Kaspar and Anna Behringer. She was raised in Germany, where she met the love of her life, JR Moree of Seymour, TX. The two were married on December 17, 1949, and she shortly followed JR back to the United States where they began a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and adventure that spanned more than 70 years.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Anna was known for her loving and generous spirit, as well as her feisty personality that brought both laughter and life to those around her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends, always ready with a smile, a story, or an invitation for a little fun. She especially loved playing a good game of 42 and bridge, enjoying meals at Cheddar’s, and visiting the casino. Anna also loved to cook and had a special talent for baking pies, something she happily shared with those she loved.
Anna is survived by her children: Carol Porter (Ed) of Bandera, Donna Wells (Johnny) of Wichita Falls, and Angie Forrester (Robert) of Wichita Falls. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Natalie Porter; Julia Bramblett (Will); Michelle Stockton (Barry); Josh Wells (Shelley); Jennifer Forrester; and Alli Forrester. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Natalie, Juniper, Sydney, Jacob, Jameson, Jace, and Braxton. She is also survived by many dear and lifelong friends, including Alois Broemauer, Carol Drake, Tanja Broemauer, and Maggie Sykes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JR Moree, the love of her life, and her brother, Helmut Bruckner.
Anna was a faithful Catholic and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She lived her life guided by love, family, and a belief in enjoying each day to the fullest. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving matriarch, and someone who believed in working hard, smiling often, and always making time for joy and connection.
Her family and friends will carry forward her legacy of laughter, resilience, and love.
