It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my sweet and most precious Mother on January 5, 2021.
The Lord sent His Angels to bring her peacefully to her eternal home in heaven while she was resting in her home at Parkwood Independent Living in Bedford, Texas. She was 84 years old.
Audra Lee Hamilton was born April 17, 1936 in Caddo County, Oklahoma – near Anandarko.
She was raised by her parents George and Hazel Byrom along with 6 sisters and 4 brothers in Oklahoma.
She graduated from Binger High School and shortly thereafter moved to Bowie, Texas to begin her career with Southwestern Bell where she worked for over 30 years and ultimately retired.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Lynn Hamilton; they were married in Wichita Falls, Texas on June 27th, 1964. Her daughter, LouAnn Hamilton as well as two sisters; Margie Lee and Evelyn Young and two brothers Jimmy and Robert Byrom.
She is survived by one daughter - Tamara Hampton of Bedford, Texas and her three beloved Grandchildren – Brandon Sartain of Rockwall, Texas, Chelsea Sartain of Berthoud, Colorado and Shelby Sartain of Colleyville, Texas.
Four sisters – Edna Myers of Tulsa, OK, Shirley Luper of Alfalfa, OK, Virginia Taylor of Lookeba, OK and Lorrie Mogg of Lookeba, OK. Three brothers – David Byrom of Anandarko, OK, George Byrom of Chickasha, OK and Johnnie Byrom of Tulsa, OK as well as many beloved Sisters/Brothers-in-laws, Neices and Nephews.
Her greatest joy in life was being a Mother and Grandmother; we were all “her jewels” and family was her treasure. She taught us to “Love One Another” and how to pray.
God chose the most selfless and loving Mother for me and everything well and good in me was because of her. I will always have you with me in my heart.
Private Graveside Services will be held January, 25th at Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.
