Cathy I. Ritter

Cathy Irene Ritter (“Catired”) passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was born August 1, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bill and Peggy Jean (Edgemon) Bowman. Cathy spent most of her life in Wichita Falls where she gave birth to her only child, Cody Reynolds, in whom she had great pride. It is also where she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Stephen Ritter on March 24, 1989. After moving to Millford, Texas for a couple of years, Cathy and Thomas returned and established a home in Burkburnett, Texas.

Cathy attended Rider High School and was a member of Fairway Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. After working a few years for King’s Food, she began a 20+ year career in the banking industry. Throughout her life, Cathy’s hobbies included camping, fishing, chilling with her puppies, regular outings to the casinos, and, most importantly, keeping up with her 3 wonderful grandchildren.

Cathy was preceded in death by both of her parents, her only sibling Carol Bowman, and her four grandparents - Horace and Jennie Bowman, and James K. and Bernice Edgemon.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Thomas Ritter of Burkburnett, and her son, Cody Reynolds and his wife, Jill and their 3 children, Lyla (14) and twins Lucy and Logan (11), all of Youngsville, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
