Doris Alma Short, 79, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 in a local hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at West Side Baptist Church, 1914 Buchanan with Rev. Blanton Feaster officiating.
Mrs. Short was born March 5, 1932 in Wichita Falls to the late Horace and Doris Faye (Buemer) Short and remained a lifelong resident. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of West Side Baptist Church.
Survivors are a sister-in-law, Dorothy Short Walsh of Wichita Falls; niece, Sandra Thompson of Abilene, TX; cousins, Johnny Haney of California, Thomas Haney of Houston, Bettye Humphries of San Antonio and Robert Haney of Texarkana, TX; several other cousins and relatives. Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Short and a nephew, David Short.
