Dorothy Ann Lucas

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310, with Bob Cave officiating.

Mrs. Lucas was born on October 10, 1930, to her parents, Ernest L. West and Eva (Roberson) West, in Wichita Falls, TX. She was raised in Wichita Falls by her loving parents and with her three siblings, Hal, Betty and Paul West. She graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School in 1948 and attended Hardin Junior College. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church for 70 plus years.

She and her high school sweetheart, Glenn Lucas, were married on June 24, 1949. Through out 56 loving years before Glenn passed away on March 4, 2005, they were blessed to raise a daughter, Robbie and a son, Steve. Their lives revolved around sports and activities of their children, 6 grandkids, 16 great grandkids and 4 great great grandkids. They had many wonderful years with special church friends at Lamar Baptist Church. She loved to play bridge with her many friends at Presbyterian Manor.

Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold West and sister-in-law Lenore (sis) (Prine) West, sister Betty (West) Boyd and brother-in-law Gene Boyd, brother Paul West, daughter Robbie Lynn Cave, granddaughter-in-law Melissa Lucas, her precious dog Annabelle, brother-in-laws Bob Lucas, Ronnie Lucas and Bill Marley, and sister-in-law Frieda (Lucas) Marley.

She is survived by son Steve Lucas and wife Jill of Wichita Falls, TX, son-in-law Bob Cave, 6 grandchildren; David Cave, Jodi (Cave) Gillespie and husband Joseph, Joseph Cave and wife Susan, Jennifer (Lucas) Shindler, Steve Lucas Jr. and wife Shana and Scott Lucas, sister-in-laws; Maridelle Lucas, Jo Ann Lucas and Kay West, 16 great grandkids, 4 great great grandkids, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
