

Faye Louise Fanchier, 82, a devoted mother, NaNa, and pillar of her faith community, Faith Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Tx, peacefully passed away on July 4, 2025. Born on September 22, 1942 to Cecil and Mavis Owens in Huttig, Arkansas. Her paternal mother passed giving birth to Louise. Soon after, her father married Fannie Owens, who was an unwavering, devoted, loving, and caring mother to Louise.
Louise graduated from Crossett Termite High School in 1960. She relocated to Wichita Falls, Tx. Soon, Louise met and married Richard Lynn Fanchier in January 1963. They had two daughters. She retired from the WFISD employed as Cafeteria Manager for almost every school in the district at one point or another. She took pride and integrity in everything she did and that showed in her career. She was awarded perfect attendance for several school years.
Louise was a great mother figure and human being. She embodied the best qualities; unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen by everyone. Her unwavering faith guided her through life and her approach to motherhood. She led by example by serving her church and God, every Sunday, sometimes choir practices, numerous church luncheons, etc. for over 55 years.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fanchier; her daughter, Cindy Ann Fanchier; her brother, Bobby Owens; and her sister, Martha Morrison. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Samansky of Wichita Falls, TX; her grandson, Onofre Lopez and his wife Agnes, and their son, Joaquin Cash of Port Orchard, WA; her grandson, Xavier Lopez of The Colony, TX; her and grandson, Santana Lopez of North Richland Hills, TX; her niece, Karen Moyers and her husband, Bill of Crossett, AR; her nephews, Harry Morrison and his wife, Corrie of Owens Crossroads of Alabama, and Louis Morrison and his wife, Liz of Daphne, Alabama.
A memorial service officiated by Larry Shields, for Louise, will be held Friday July 18, 2025, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302. A gathering for conversation and refreshments will follow the service.
