

On June 21, 2016, Georgia Delk Cooper Demanche passed away peacefully at Hospice of Wichita Falls and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Georgia was born in Dallas, Texas on December 31, 1928. She graduated from Forest High School in Dallas. She moved to Wichita Falls in 1947 and married Bill Cooper and had twin boys, Randy and Michael Cooper. Later in her life she married Joseph Demanche on December 8, 1973. She worked at Cruse Tire Company, National Linen Service and Telequest Telemarketing. She was the daughter of Edward Delk and Bessie Franklin Delk. They preceded her in death along with a brother, Mark Delk.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Demanche of Wichita Falls; son, Randy Cooper and wife Elaine and children, Jason Cooper and Jessica Cooper, all of Wichita Falls; son, Michael Cooper and wife Anne and their children, John, Robert, George and Kristi Cooper, all of Grapevine; step-son, Charles Demanche and wife Carol and their children, Dustin and Chelsea Demanche, all of Colorado Springs.
Georgia belonged to Wesley United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies of Church WOW Covenant Class. Georgia belonged to the Does and Elks Lodge Ladies Group since 1990. She served in officer positions, including chaplain for several years, and was an associate member of the Vietnam Veterans. Recently she joined, as an auxiliary member, the American Legion Post 202. Georgia was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for a year and was a volunteer for the Rainbow House for abused children for two years.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cheryl Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
