Gwen worked as a tax preparer for 20 plus years. First managing at H&R Block, then opening, Gwen McCorkle Tax Service.
She was loved by everyone.
She was married to Bennie McCorkle for 58 years, Bennie passed away in 2009.
Her surviving relatives are her sister, Patsy Balliew from Corpus Christi, several nieces and nephews, her daughters, Connie, Barbara and son, Russell, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and numerous great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Gwendolyn will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
