J. Davy Baker, 63 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Hospice of Wichita Falls. He was born on July 13, 1947 in Electra to the late Leroy Baker and Rose Marie Richardson Baker. On June 6, 1971 he married Catherine “Cookie” Knuckley. Davy was a musician and a precision machinist. He was an exceptional athlete in school, was an amateur astronomer, but his greatest love was music. He loved going to Big Bend National Park and the family would like to thank Arden Kent for taking him on his final trip there. Davy was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of Wichita Falls; two children, Jesse Alex Baker of Carrollton and Jordan Elizabeth Frescas and husband Nick of El Paso; two grandchildren, Nico and Ella Frescas; two sisters, Jannis Hayers of Electra and Kathy Simpson of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Rex Baker of Twin Falls, Idaho and Terry Baker of El Reno, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Davy’s brother, Rex Baker officiating.
