

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Jason’s cousin, Pastor Chase Ward, officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Jason was born June 9, 1983 in Fort Worth, TX to Ron and Debbie Horton. He attended North Richland Hills Birdville Schools and graduated from Haltom High School in 2001. He then attended the University of Texas in Arlington and Tarrant County College majoring in Business Management. He worked for El Chico in Wichita Falls as a manager for the last six years and dreamed of opening his own restaurant someday.
Jason played baseball since he was five years old and was an avid sports fan. He was saved and baptized at Northpark Baptist Church when was ten years old. Jason will be remembered as a loving, caring son and brother who was devoted to his friends and family. He was known for his impeccable work ethic, his sweet and generous heart, and his love of cooking amazing meals for his family and friends before sitting down to enjoy the game.
He was preceded in death by his only sister, Renee Danielle Horton, his grandfathers, Dewese Huckaby and Wayne Horton, one grandmother, Jacqueline Huckaby and an uncle, Eddie Huckaby.
Jason is survived by his parents, Ron and Debbie Horton, his grandmother, Bobbie (Gigi) Horton all of Wichita Falls and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Horton, Jim Boyd, Travis Boyd, Jared Quinn, Chad Hale and David Cadaoas. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Horton and Ryan Riegel.
