

Jesse Robert Hoff, 94, of Wichita Falls died Friday, October 12, 2012 in Wichita Falls. Services have been scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at Floral Heights United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Paul Goodrich. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park with full military honors directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Jesse was born April 9, 1918 in Minburn, Iowa to Jesse and Eliza Bell (Thomas) Hoff. He graduated from Perry, Iowa High School in 1935 and Chillicothe, MO Business College in 1937. He worked for Folgers Coffee Company in Kansas City, MO from 1937-1941. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, during both WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in England, France, Korea, and Japan and retiring in 1962 as a Major. He married Dorothy Lee Taylor November 28, 1955 in Perry Iowa.
Mr. Hoff was a devoted member of Floral Heights United Methodist Church, and the Merle Anthony Sunday School Class as well as serving as past member of the Administrative Board and substitute usher. He sat on the Board of Directors of the Symphony Orchestra, and was active and past office holder in the Wichita Falls Post “I” Travelers Protective Association of America, as well as a member of the Retired Officers Association at Sheppard Air Force Base. Jessie traveled extensively, going around the world several times.
Mr. Hoff is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dorothy Hoff in 1993; parents, Jesse and Eliza Hoff; brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Florence Hoff; sister and brother-in-law, Avis and Paul Senter; cousins, J. Wesley, B. Taylor; eight nephews, and one niece.
Survivors include his devoted friends and caretakers, Joel and Cathey Fields.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Hoff suggested memorials be offered to Floral Heights United Methodist Church Foundation.
