John Leslie, age 82, of Wichita Falls Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. John was born on July 1, 1939 in Carthage, Texas to Johnnie and Cornell (Minter) Leslie. On July 10, 1978, John married Linda Taylor Lambert in Wichita Falls. He was employed for several years by Wilson Mfg. in Wichita Falls, later moving to Longview, Texas where he worked for Brown & Root. John retired from Marks Crane & Rigging in Odessa, Texas in 2011, moving back to Wichita Falls after his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls.
John enjoyed fishing and working on projects around the home. He also enjoyed traveling and going to RV rallies.
He was preceded in death by his parents of Odessa, Texas; brother, Jay Leslie of Odessa, Texas and sister, Patsy, of Jal, New Mexico.
John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Leslie; son Jeff Lambert and wife Dee Ann of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter Tammy Cockrell (John) of Lufkin, Texas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
