

J.C. was born May 8, 1927, in Sunshine Hill, TX. His parents were Roy and Hazel Brackett.
He married the love of his life, Kathrine McDonald, on November 3, 1947.
J.C. served in the Army during WWII. After leaving the military, he began barbering with his dad in 1946. He later on owned and operated his own shop, J.C.'s Barbershop until he retired in 2008 after 62 years of service.
He loved his family, his customers, his church, but most of all he loved serving the Lord. He would do anything for anyone in need. J.C. loved singing and was the minister of music for many years. He was a member of Legacy Church of God. He also loved fishing and Dr. Pepper.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Dickey McDonald.
J.C. is survived by his wife of 73 years, Kathrine, along with 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10 A.M. at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Legacy Church of God in Memory of J.C. Montgomery.
