Joyce P Crosslin

Services 11 AM Friday, April 18, 2025 at Lamar Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, TX.

She graduated from Archer City High School as Valedictorian in 1945. She received a full scholarship to Weatherford College and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. While at Weatherford College, she met Donnell Crosslin and they married after graduation. They married on Sep 8, 1947 in Olney, Tx. They celebrated 58 years together until he passed away on May 26, 2006. They had a son, Timothy Crosslin, who passed away Oct 2019.

Joyce was a devout Christian lady who taught Sunday School for many years while at Lamar Baptist Church. She also taught Bible Study classes at her home. She was loved and she mentored many women whom she referred to as “her girls!’ She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served on several committees.

She is survived by sister Bonnie McElhannon and her sons Matt (wife Mindy), Mark (wife Kelly), Jim and several other nephews and nieces. Also surviving are cousins Homer Fields of Holiday, Tx and Larry Fields of Okmulgee, Ok.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband Donnell Crosslin, son Timothy Crosslin, mother and father, and brother Marvin Pickard.

She leaves behind many beloved friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Tx. Special thanks for all the Hospice nurses that took care of her.
