Linda V. Sansing

Linda Velvie Sansing99, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away peacefully in her living room at home on March 28, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1925, to Linnie and Homer Burd in Henderson, TX. She was a member of City View Baptist Church.

Linda was a military wife and traveled all over the country as well as overseas. She attended Draughon Business College in her early years and worked at Bealls Department Store for 13 years. She loved crocheting, quilting and sewing, but her greatest love was working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linnie and Homer Burd; her beloved husband, Francis Sansing; daughter, Veronica Marshall; sisters, Avis Moon, Deana Harrell, Joyce Bonds, Bonnie Burd; brothers, Lloyd Burd, Russell Burd.

She is survived by sons, Steven Sansing, Joel Sansing and wife Debra; daughter, Lamerle Lee and husband Rocky; son-in-law, Victor Marshall; grandsons, Bradley Sansing, Nicholas Rodriguez and wife Tara, Michael Glidewell; granddaughters, Laura Ruiz, Jennifer Sansing and husband John, Adrienne Buck and husband Matt, Jeighden Grace; brother, Reagan Burd and wife Gloria. She is survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

VIsitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and a funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, all held at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Ferris Officiating. 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302.

Pallbearers are Bradley Sansing, Nicholas Rodriguez, Michael Glidewell, Gabe Bentley, Ethan Glidewell and Justyce Glidewell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Beyond Faith Hospice in her memory.
