Loneta McGuire, 79, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2026. Loneta will be remembered as selfless, generous, hard-working, kind-hearted, resilient, and humorous—someone who was not afraid to give her opinion and or advice.
Born in Wichita Falls in 1946 to Louis and Dorothy Parks, Loneta graduated from Hirschi High School.
Loneta dedicated many years of service as a Teacher’s Aide for WFISD, and later continued her work with the State of Texas until her retirement. Her commitment to helping others was evident in the care she brought to her work each day.
Loneta had three children, David, Mark, and Amanda, and she was deeply devoted to her family, always making time to be with them and to support them in countless ways.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and she also loved helping her parents at the farmer’s market—simple, meaningful moments that reflected her generous nature and the joy she found in being useful to those she loved.
Loneta was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barbara; her brother, Louis Jr.; and her son, David. She is survived by her sister, Virginia; her son, Mark; her daughter, Amanda; two grandchildren, Braylin and Seth; one great-granddaughter, Ava; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Hospice of Wichita Falls for their compassionate care during Loneta’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
