Lorene Alice Watts

Lorene Gillispie Watts, 86, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, June 15, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1pm Thursday, June 16, at Hampton Vaughan; burial to follow in Crestview Memorial Park.

Lorene was born August 7, 1929 to William Franklin and Alice Opal Gillispie. She married the late Jackie Ray Watts. The two of them traveled the country for Jackie’s AAFES assignments and later for their own pleasure. They enjoyed their trips to Hawaii, Nashville, and New Orleans. Lorene loved to shop almost as much as she loved her family. She will be missed by them all.

She is preceded in death by husband Jackie Ray Watts, grandson Christopher Brook O’Connor, and brothers Bobby Joe and Robert Dale Gillispie.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Hornsby and husband, Max, Kent Watts, Karen Gillispie and husband, David, grandchildren Jordan Calhoun and Joshua Hornsby and wife, Becky, great-grandchildren Jace and Jacqueline Hornsby, Cuay O’Connor, Lane Farrell, and Miriam Anstaett, and siblings Wanda Faye Dominges of Tyler, TX, Larry Wayne Gillispie of Tucson, AZ, Linda Gillispie, and Eddie Leon Gillispie both of Lone Grove, OK.
