Lynda retired from the Wichita Falls State Hospital in 1998 where she was a Substance Abuse Counselor, having help countless people with overcoming their addictions. Lynda was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Lynda's warm heart and kindness will be remembered and cherished by those fortunate enough to have had her in their lives. Lynda always put her family's needs first, providing unwavering support and love to her family. In her children's school years she never missed an event, she was Scotts room mother and at times a cheer coach for Mandy, and she was always their biggest fan cheering at whatever sport they were involved in and you could always hear her at Scotts football games because she had the biggest cow bell in the stands. Lynda loved the Dallas Cowboys, cooking, baking desserts, making jewelry, reading romance novels, shopping for bargains and boy did she love QVC. Lynda would bake cookies for local fire departments and her local Popeyes staff, yes she loved Popeyes chicken! When Scott played football she would spend hours baking dozens of chocolate chips cookies before the away games to make sure the boys had something to snack on when they were on the bus. You may have come to her house hungry but she always made sure you were full before you left sending you with a to go container to eat later, we would always joke that it looked like she was cooking for an Army, but she never knew who she was going to feed. Lynda never met a stranger, striking up a conversation anywhere she went, some of the conversations would lead to great friendships for her over the years! In 1955 at 9 months old Lynda contracted the Polio Virus and would spend the rest of her life battling the effects of Post Polio.
