

Manuel V. Garcia, Jr., 75 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at United Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 17, 1934 to the late Manuel F. Garcia and Adelfa Valdez Garcia. On May 18, 1952 he married Angelina Hernandez in Grandfield, OK. He was a retired engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad and was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wichita Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Angelina of Wichita Falls; four children, Adelfa Banda and Jimmy Belasquez, Patricia Ayala and husband Robert, Gloria Garcia and husband Alfred and Melinda Gonzales and husband Mario Lozano all of Wichita Falls; one sister, Rosalinda Rodriguez of Wichita Falls; brothers, Albert Garcia and wife Tillie of Wichita Falls, Tony Garcia of Wichita Falls, Louis Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, Johnny Garcia and wife Sally of Wichita Falls, Julio Canedo and wife Dominga of Wichita Falls and Frank Canedo and wife Lucila of Wichita Falls; 9 grandchildren. Stephanie, Christopher, Robert, Jr., Alfred, Jr., Shawn, Lauren, Rudy, Ashlee, and Kelly; 17 great grandchildren; step mother, Andrea Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Pete Banda and brother-in-law, Pablo Rodriguez.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 5, 2010 at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wichita Falls. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. A wake service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
