

Mary Sue Fuhs, 85, a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Tom Medley of University United Methodist Church.
Sue was born February 25, 1928 in Wichita Falls to Lucille (Rogers) and Tom Cunningham. Sue married Charles Fuhs Jr. on June 10, 1949. Together they raised two children. Sue obtained her degree in education from Midwestern State University and taught third grade at Kate Burgess Elementary School from 1964 to 1988. Sue and Charles were lifelong travelers to Yellowstone National Park along with many other fellow Wichitans. She and Charles were charter members of University United Methodist Church.
Mary Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fuhs Jr. and her brother Lowell Cunningham.
Survivors include her son, Chuck Fuhs and his partner Chris of Houston; daughter Diane Hancock of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren Shelley Hancock and fiancé Josh Wells, Benjamin Hancock and wife Rachel and many school children she taught. The family honors many friends who provided support during Sue’s declining health and are part of our extended family.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, 76310
