Mary Lou Hook

Born, February 26, 1932, in St Paris, Ohio, to the late Curtis and Ruth (Sutton) Garner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Senior Master Sergeant (Air Force) John William Hook (1974), son, Robert M. Hook (1996), sister, Anna Mae Ramhoff, brother Jimmy Garner, brother, Curtis “Artie” Garner.

Survived by her son, John William Hook, Jr., and daughter Pamela Sue (Hook) McElvy along with grandsons, Christopher Hook, Brandon, and Nicholas McElvy along with brothers Jack Garner (OH), Martin Ellis Garner (FL) and sister Ramona (Garner) Seib (MD).

She was married to John for 19 years before he passed in 1974. She was a member of Connect Church (formerly Country Chapel) in Wichita Falls, along with Mt. Savage United Methodist Church in Maryland. She served several years on the Glory choir at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. She loved to sing. She was a private duty nurse for several years before retiring. She moved to Plano (Healthcare Resort of Plano) back in 2021 to be close to her daughter and grandsons.

A celebration of life will be held at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City HWy, Wichita Falls, TX, 76302, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 5pm-7pm.

Her final resting place will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in La Vale, Maryland next to her husband.
