Mary Humphries

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Friday, July 25, 2014, at Crestview Memorial Park, Memory Gardens, with Rev. Cheryl Murray officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Richardson, Mary was born on February 9, 1925 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was an angel while on Earth, and has now received her wings. Mary was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls. She was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and DMA (Don’t Mention Age). Mary was loved by all who met her. She may be the only one we know that NEVER had a cross word to say about anyone. As a mom, always a kind word when needed, and never negative. We know Mary is in Heaven, talking to the Lord, and finding out what activities she can help with.

Along with her parents, Louis and Lucile Richardson, Mary was also preceded in death by her Husband; George R. Humphries, brothers Delvin, Harry, and Eugene Richardson.

Mary is survived by her children; Mary (Karen) Barker and husband; George Barker, of Bandera, Texas, George (Mike) Humphries and wife; Kay Humphries of Jolly, Texas, and Vester Humphries and wife; Robbi Humphries, of Dean, Texas, grandchildren; Teresa Barker, Sammy Crabtree, Chris Barker, Jennifer Walker and husband; Matt, Shawn Humphries and wife; Kasey, Chad Humphries and wife; Larisa, Nicolas Humphries and wife; Jennifer, Numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
