Mary Naomi Kosub 4/10/1924 married to Eugene Szczepinski in May 22, 1945, in San Antonio. Mary Szczepinski has gone to be with her lord and savior on 12/13/2020. A very independent woman, Mary was filled with a tenacity that would rival the best women of her time. She never took 'no' as an answer, and figured out solutions most people of that time could not. She was the epitome of a woman’s movement despite the early years of America before the woman’s movement was a thing. A very strict matriarch, she made sure her children were always the priority. Many times, her husband Eugene and Mary were forced into rough circumstances caring and feeding her family. She always made sure her kids came first, and went hungry many times to make sure they were ok. Over time, that tenacious attitude gave her confidence to do, what is simple now, things like getting a job, getting her driver’s license for the first time in the 1980s. Those simple things sound like nothing for this day and age, but she sure was proud. Anybody that knew Mary knows that she had an opinion worth hearing. Everybody she met knew exactly where they stood...good, neutral, or the bad. She had strong convictions, and made no excuses about them. She will be missed dearly by her family she cared so much about. She leaves behind her husband, Eugene Szczepinski, children Eugene Szczepinski Jr. and wife Lisa, Greg Szczepinski, Deborah Jellerson and husband Kevin, and Steven Szczepinski. Her Grandchildren Vicki Szczepinski VanLandingham, Lantz Riley, Kathy Szczepinski Maurice and husband Jim, Craig Szczepinski, Jennifer Szczepinski, Scott Szczepinski, and Drake Szczepinski and wife Payton and many great grandchildren Anderson VanLandingham, Lee Vanlandingham, Jacob VanLandingham, Mary Kathryn VanLandingham, Lynlee Szczepinski, Taryn Szczepinski, Victoria Maurice, Anna Claire Maurice, Caiden Szczepinski, Kayleigh Wilson, Caysen Wilson and Kenzie Reneau. She is a person who always went out on a limb above and beyond to provide for her grandkids and they are eternally grateful. Her family will miss her passion and conviction, her wonderful cuisine, her ability to sew just about anything to include clothes to furniture. There is absolutely nothing she couldn't do.
