Frances Ferguson, 86 of Possum Kingdom Lake , passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was born on September 20, 1923 in Bellevue, TX to the late Joseph W. Dixon and Nettie King Dixon. She was resident of Wichita Falls for over 50 years before moving to Possum Kingdom 3 years ago to live fulltime. She was a retired bookkeeper for North Texas Rehabilitation in Wichita Falls. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Community Church at Possum Kingdom and was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Shriner’s Widows’ Club.
She is survived two sons, Jerry Ferguson and wife Coleen of Dallas and Robert Ferguson and wife Betty of Possum Kingdom; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Ferguson on July 6, 1990, sister Ola Simmons and brothers, Ben Dixon and Bill Dixon.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
