Penny (Shilts) Gilmore, 52, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Shelley McNew, Pastor, First United Methodist Church of Holliday officiating. Services are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Penny was born June 26, 1958 in Beaufort, South Carolina to John Eugene Shilts and Dorothy Helen (Dickey) Shilts. She worked at Senior Care Health & Rehab Center. Penny loved being in the sun, and spending time with her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving relatives include her three daughters, Heather Makibbin and her husband, Paul, of Wichita Falls, Lori Gilmore and Amber Gilmore, both of Plano, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Joleigh and Kye Makibbin of Wichita Falls; one brother, Dick Harris of Oleny, Texas; and 2 nephews, John Harris and Dickey Harris.
