

Born Enriqueta Rita Casillas on July 15, 1926 to Jose and Elodia Casillas in Benjamin, Texas. Rita dedicated her life to her family. She raised her five children with the discipline and love which only she could give. She was known as Grandma (Tita-Eta) to her grandchildren, which she cherished. Her famous sugar cookies and warm tortillas topped with warm butter was always a treat when visiting grandma. When she wasn't busy cooking, her favorite pass times were spent visiting with her family, talking to her friends over the phone and watching her favorite Tela Novellas. She was always there lending a helping hand to anyone who needed her for advice or support. She lived for her family which she adored. She was simply the best Mom and Grandmother. She will truly be missed every day!
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Elodia Casillas. Her siblings, Minnie Monzibiez, Robert Casillas, Daniel Casillas, Alejandro Casillas, and her first born grandson Anthony Hernandez.
Rita is survived by daughters Agnes Weaver-Don, Joan Hernandez-Tony, Irene Gamboa-Bibiano, Judy Edwards, and son Kenny Ochoa-Sherri.
Grandchildren Stephanie Parker-Corey, Jennifer Birkhead-Matt, Adrianne Gamboa, Andrea Ayala, Spencer Edwards, Cooper Edwards, Keenan Ochoa-Mercedes, and Angelique Contreras-Luiz.
Great Grandchildren John Ayala, Abel Ayala-Mckenzie, Evan Cortez, Rilee Parker, Aubree Parker, Morgan Parker, Claire Dean, Jocelyn Contreras, Mia Contreras, Kaymen Ochoa, Nico Ochoa, Kruz Ochoa, Sofia Ochoa and Great-Great Granddaughter, Navy Jayne Ayala.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 6, 2026 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 7, 2026 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview funeral home in Wichita Falls, Texas.
