Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 23, 2018, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Robert was born on October 13, 1922 in Waurika, Oklahoma to David C. and Sadie Caroland Norris. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War 2. He married Wanda Golightly Norris, who preceded him in death in 1994. He was a Maintenance Inspector in the Civil Service at SAFB and a member of Floral Heights Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Robert enjoyed going to the area jamborees. He was an avid mall walker and a member of the 50+Zone. He especially loved time with grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include his children: Robert Lynn Norris of Wichita Falls, Larry Dale Norris and wife Debbie of Iowa Park, Kathy Chancellor and husband Mike, Lisa Norris, and Becky Norris, all of Wichita Falls; grandchildren: Carrie Murphy, Bradley Norris, Christopher Norris, April Gresham, Clint Chancellor, Arron Littleton, and Adam Littleton; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family extends a special thanks for all their help in Robert’s care to Dr. Eric Yap, First Texas Home Health, especially Joyce Gould, Hospice of Wichita Falls, and Wilma Avalos.
