Roy “Bob” Moore, 68, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in Dallas. He was born on September 4, 1946 in Wichita Falls to the late Leslie Joe Moore, Sr. and Mary Gomillion Moore. In April, 2000 he married Barbara French in Wichita Falls. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and the United States Postal Service. Mr. Moore was affiliated with the Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moore of Wichita Falls; children, Travis Moore of Ft. Worth, Kristie Moore of Dallas, Erick Orsak of Wichita Falls and Laura Mathews of Burkburnett; one brother, Joe Moore, Jr. of Huntington, TX; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Caulfield.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Roland Benoit officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 3:30 PM prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Davis, Steve Couch, Joe Moore, Alan Milbern, Paul Meyenburg and John Pezzano. Ronnie Gibbs will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
