Sally was born to Joann McNeely and Fred H. Kiel on August 3rd, 1925 in Wichita Falls, Texas. As a child her father followed the oil fields across Texas and they settled in Wichita Falls when she was seven years old. Always the volunteer, Sally met the love of her life, Tom Curran, as a Sheppardette during World War II and thus began a lifelong love affair that never ended. They were married on September 16th, 1944. She fulfilled her hopes and dreams through raising three children and joyously embracing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Endlessly generous and giving Sally taught Sunday school for young children at the First Baptist Church for 25 years. She volunteered at Faith City Mission, was a member of the Woman's Forum and Syble’s Sunday School Class. Sally was passionate about the arts and attended Hardin Junior College (Midwestern) as an art major. She continued her love of art through crafting, sewing, writing and collecting. She loved children and animals and was a faithful supporter of charities insuring their well-being. Sally was a voracious reader who loved music, dancing and laughing. She was devoted to her family and we are forever grateful for her unconditional love. We will always love and miss our mother and Nonie.
