Sammie Fred Williams left this life on January 26, 2022 after 87 years of service to his country, community and family. A chapel memorial service for Sammie will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, Wichita Falls, Texas with Rev. Harvey McMurry, Chaplain, Hospice of Wichita Falls officiating.
Sammie was born on November 6, 1934 to Rosa Lee (Barron) and Wilson Fred Williams. He served his country in the United States Navy at age 17, serving in the Korean War. Sam was a Master Mason at stockyard lodge in Ft. Worth and worked for the Railroad for 38 years.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Chrisanna Scharrer and husband, Carl; grandchildren, Brandy Rider, Amber Crowe and Zack Scharrer; and great grandchildren, Keegan, Brayde, Tobey, Eden and Parker.
