Sarah Martha Ray Finley, 85, longtime resident of Wichita Falls went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 11, 2015. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Garden of Rest at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Merwin Turner officiating. No viewing or visitation is scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Finley was born September 2, 1929 to the late Dr. Henry Joseph Ray and Mildred Murray Ray in Monterey, Tennessee. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls. She was employed with Civil Service for 20 years.
Sarah, the widow of Master Sergeant James Otis Finley, is survived by their three children: James O. Finley, Jr. of Greenville, TX, Desiree Hubner and husband Paul of Wichita Falls and Melanie Scribner and husband Kevin, also of Wichita Falls. Sarah will also be greatly missed by her three grandchildren: Amber Gemar and Zach and Garrett Scribner and by her three great grandchildren: Gioanni and Grady Gemar and Channing Hester.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., 76310.
