Steve Couch

Steve was born on July 21, 1938 to Jim and Mary Couch in Obed, Kentucky. Steve married Mary Elizabeth Ayers on October 19, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2022. Steve served in the US Airforce and was a dedicated pastor for the Church of God of Prophecy. After retiring, he still loved to visit nursing homes and shut ins to minister to their needs. He loved fishing and travelling. He especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children: Paul Couch, Elizabeth Heldt, and Timothy Couch; grandson: Josh Heldt; brothers: Raymond Couch, Homer Couch, and Roy Couch; and his sister: Ruth Rice.

He is survived by his sons: Steven Couch and wife Jill of Wichita Falls, Jimmy Couch and wife Glenda of Iowa Park, and David Couch of Wichita Falls; sisters: Delphia Clark of London, Kentucky, Eva Coots of Manchester, Kentucky, Stella Dill of Indiana, and Annie Fleener of Indiana; brother: Wilkie Couch of London, Kentucky; grandchildren: Steffanie Garcia, Bethany Couch, Amanda Smith, Kaitlyn Couch, Jeremy Couch, Brian McAfee, Austin Couch, Danielle Couch, Evan Couch, Katie Moseley, Jordan Heldt, Cora Heldt, Brook Gardea, and Alicia Couch; numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
