He had lived in Wichita Falls most of his life and, along with his parents: Jerry and Marguerite; brother: Leland; and sister: Nancy, was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School. Wayne was a member of the Coyote Baseball Team from 1957 - 1958. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1959 - 1963. He is a Vietnam Veteran. He is preceded in death by his father and mother.
Survivors include his brother: Leland Kohutek and wife Judy of Lewisville, Texas and his sister: Nancy Kohutek of San Diego, California.
